The story:
We could definitely imagine this on a lady in the 1930s, waiting by the train tracks, with dark gray tights, leather heeled oxfords, short white gloves, a train case and a cloche hat with neat wavy curls peeping out from underneath.
This brings us back to the era with its good-weight material, the little scarf-like collar detail, the cute plastic buttons (they are no button holes. Instead there are snap buttons at the back - see photos - for easier wear) and it's tent shape. You could certainly wear this with a belt but we like it just the way it is.
And we like how a little quirky brooch jazzes things up ;)
*Vintage Trifari wheat-sheath & retro 1950s plastic sunnies brooches: Available for sale in our Accessories section! (unless someone else got to it first ;)
*Belt: Stylist's own.
Pinned?: No. But it was belted to show how it looks when worn with one. Please see the last photo for the actual fit without the belt.
Measurements:
All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat.
Please DOUBLE the measurements provided to get the approximate circumference measurements.
Alternatively, you can take a piece of your own clothing, lay it flat, measure it and make a comparison.
