Must-have | Faerin | Vintage 1950s well-made red paisley and checkered print short-sleeve shirt dress with matching fabric belt
Vintage lovers will know if we describe our excitement at finding a rare 1950s beauty, very well-made at that. Home-made we think, just from the way the maker had gone through the trouble to make a matching fabric belt but with Velcro (and that sent us down another rabbit hole reading about when it was invented and how it was inspired by someone walking their dog.)
So here it is… a really lovely one with such straight and firm seams and colours still oh-so-very vibrant.

Bust (PTP): 18 inches
Waist: 12-14 inches (Elastic waist.)
Hip: 25 inches (And possibly more as it has a nice flared fit.)
Top length: 17 inches
Total length: 44 inches
Sleeves: Approx 5 inches (armpit to cuff)
Armhole: 8.5 inches
Stretch: No. Buttons up at the front.
Lined: No.
Softness: Medium weight.
Tag: None. Seems hand-made.
Condition: Excellent.
