Sunny Daisies | Vintage 1950s 1960s A-line sleeveless shift dress in Orange and daisies with POCKETS
The story:
We love this absolutely gorgeous 1960s sleeveless tent dress with the cutest daisies print and POCKETS!
We're not sure if this is entirely cotton but it sure feels like it! Like a cotton/linen cross because it's quite a good solid material. And check out those cute white buttons at the shoulders! They actually work as a fastening and makes us think of the first ever top we ever made in our secondary school home economics class!
A good medium/heavy cotton material and so superbly made! Pullover style (No zips or buttons except those at the shoulders).
Interestingly, we found that Krist Gudnason was an orphan from Iceland who worked on a fishing boat for three years before "jumping ship" and escaping to Norway, where he did well as a door-to-door salesman. He immigrated to the US and arrived in New York without a dime to his name, made his way to the West Coast, and eventually moved to Los Angeles where he started his own Lady Alice Dresses in 1925. We're not too sure but we would date this to be 1950s, 1960s.
Pinned?: No.
Measurements:
All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat.
Please DOUBLE the measurements provided to get the approximate circumference measurements.
Alternatively, you can take a piece of your own clothing, lay it flat, measure it and make a comparison.
