Sonny | Vintage 1990s 2000s 100% Linen and cotton embroidered Moulinette Soeurs skirt

We just couldn’t let this pass us by… simply for the beauty of the embroidery. And the placements of them too.

 Then we looked up the brand and it is apparently as “older, coveted Anthropologie label, and is rarely sold new in traditional retail”.

“It draws inspiration from Old World tailoring techniques, vintage trims and the beauty of fin-de-siècle Paris. You'll find luxurious silk garments, handmade lace, and intricate needlework.”

And intricate needlework this is, indeed. Even if it were machine-embroidered, it would have taken the designer/seamstress a long time to get this much done.

We like the mix of colours on this and even more, the blue on blue embroidery. And notice the details in the lining… the contrasting orange scalloped hemming. 

Stunning. Is the word.
