Gemma | Vintage 1990s checkered Lands’ End sheath dress with huge front pockets
Land’s End - This is a brand that is still going strong. And we love its history - of how they started out selling a sailboat equipment in the 1960s and ventured into apparel in the 1970s.
There is always a sense of functionality mixed with fashion and an ease that comes with every piece.
This lovely mix of greens and red could have gone very Christmas, but it instead exudes a vibrancy and joy with just a sniff the salty sea breeze and the expanse of the Cornish seaside.
Thus it would come as no surprise that one of the most unique parts of this dress is perhaps the way the shoulder section is constructed. It has a lovely bateau (or boat-necked), sailor top-inspired look with lovely matching trims.
