Florence | Vintage 1940s 1950s sleeveless fit and flare Midnight-blue midi dress
Our mom once mentioned how she almost never sees garments today with the same fabric quality and handiwork from before. We believe some handmade garments still have that quality and care and love put into them.
But it is true. We love the variety and weight of fabrics from the past. They had a kind of ease about them. They didn't try too hard to be more. They just were.
And this sleeveless navy blue (the kind of blue that is so blue it is darker than black) has that quality of elegance. A good weighted fabric that just exudes a timeless sense of luxury.
Quite the Audrey Hepburn of vintage, we would say.
Pinned?: No. But it was belted to show how it wears when worn with one.
