The story:

We treasure each and every Mexican, embroider and/or ethnic garment we come across. We particularly love anything Mexican, Peruvian, Aztec, African, Batik and hand-printed. 

So we have been searching for a Mexican dress for ages! 

This in all her purple (so rare ;) glory is entirely hand-embroidered (we peeked behind and yes we could see every stitch)! 

Has elastic cuffs but if you like it more flowy, you could always unpick it and just hem it in a little for a more kimono-sleeved look.

Material: Not stated but likely to be a cotton.

Tag: None. Wonderfully hand made and hand-embroidered! 
Lining: Unlined.
Transparency:  Seems opaque, but as with most vintage garments, a slip will help to keep things decent ;)
Condition: Excellent. Has a fabric/thread bump about 16.5in from the hem but it's not faded or anything, probably a fabric artefact.
