Garden Gardenia | Vintage 1950s 1960s Floral housecoat shirt dress with Snap buttons and Pocket
We love button-down dresses because we can wear them as a dress, and also as a coat, or even like a semi-overall, unbutton halfway down and with a tank-top inside for that grungier, edgier look.
This would be great with denim sneakers or wooden clogs and a messy do.
The prints are just so fun on their own, with the sweetest peter-pan collar, you could do so much more (or less, in a sense) to make it your own.
Make it work!
All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat.
Please DOUBLE the measurements provided to get the approximate circumference measurements.
Alternatively, you can take a piece of your own clothing, lay it flat, measure it and make a comparison.
Approx. Size: M/L - XL
Shoulders: 32in (no real shoulder seams, more like a raglan sleeve, so we measured from cuff to cuff)
Bust: Up to 22.5in
Waist: Up to 20in (Fixed waist. No belt loops.)
Hips: Up to 24in
Total Length: 37.5in
Sleeves: 11in (measured from edge of the neck to cuff)
Material: Not stated but seems like a cotton mix.
Transparency: Seems opaque, but as with most vintage garments, appropriate inner wear will help to keep things decent ;)
Condition: Very good. Just a couple of marks near the right bust area. Barely visible and doesn't affect the way it wears at all.
