Must Have! | A Good Girl | Vintage girl scout green 1950s 1960s Sundress with slant stitched pockets
You would think this is a simple green dress... but oh we think it is so much more.
Not because there are any hidden compartments or anything but because simplicity is actually not an easy thing to achieve.
The cutting is so well done, with darts here, tuck there. The stitching so clear, straight and decorative without overtaking.
Each measurement so well done it enhances and doesn't overwhelm.
The angle of the pockets so well planned.
Though in one colour throughout, it gives you the feeling this baby has substance, so much depth.
All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat.
Please DOUBLE the measurements provided to get the approximate circumference measurements.
Alternatively, you can take a piece of your own clothing, lay it flat, measure it and make a comparison.
Approx. Size: S - M
Shoulders: Up to 15in
Bust: Up to 17.5/18in (pit-to-pit. There are darts so it could have a little more give)
Waist: 14in ( Fixed waist. High waist though, comes to just under the bust ;)
Top Length: 12.5in
Hips: Up to 20in
Total Length: 42in
Material: Not stated but likely a cotton/poly/linen mix.
Tag: None. Looks to be very well handmade.
Transparency: Seems opaque but as with most vintage garments, a slip will help to keep things decent ;)
